ABOUT PLAYBACK DESIGNS

Andreas Koch, a founder member of Playback Designs, has been designing digital audio for over 30 years and worked for Sony when bringing the original DSDs to the market. Today, Playback have been instrumental in bringing another first to the world of music in the form of a 2 dimensional DAC with a dedicated DSD and unique property coding which means you, the listener, gets to hear honest audio reproduction but with the convenience of digital technology.

The main objective of Playback Designs was to eliminate hash, distortion and interference which are common to digital sound equipment. And the objective was achieved by their unique approach to designing essential components but thinking outside of the box. Andreas Koch is however, no stranger to innovation. In addition to his uniquely designed DAC, he is also the pioneer of the custom FPGA chips used as standard in their equipment.
